We went on the annual Spring Fishing Trip. Dave, Dick and I went down on Thursday. Laurie came down on Friday afternoon. De, Susie and Kenny came down on Friday night. Matt and Maxine joined us on Saturday afternoon. One of De's neighbors down there was gracious and let some of us overflow onto the beds and couch in his mobile home. Nine people in a 2 bed 1 bath mobile home was a bit tight. LOL!!
This is a picture someone else took and had on the Weaver web site. Laurie is in the pink hat with Dave and Dick to her left. I was upstream a bit.

I really like my new rod. Dave did a great job building it. I caught quite a few fish with it.
Laurie is using the rod her dad built her. It is green. He tied it with yellow and black thread so it will resemble the logo on the John Deere 8630 tractor. I wrote the numbers on it. She was very excited to get a rod that reminds her of the tractor.
Susie was catching a lot of fish. De asked her how long she was letting her line sink. She said, "Uncle De, I really wasn't paying attention to how long I left it out. I was thinking of shopping and the new pair of shows I wanted." We all started to laugh. Then De said, "Papa needs a new pair of boots!" And believe it or not but he caught a fish. We had a good laugh out of that.
We all had a great time. We caught fish, played games and had a few laughs too.
Love,
Mickey
